Wayne Cullen

Director Projects Manager Wayne


Wayne Cullen AIB is the Co-Founder, Director and Chief Projects Manager of Cullen Group.

Wayne has diversified experience in providing design and project management, cost planning and estimating for a wide variety of projects. He has worked extensively in project management and in the field, providing strategic leadership in the development and implementation of highly successful projects.

Wayne has been actively involved in the construction industry for more than 30 years. Employed by Hutchinson Builders from 1990 to 2003, Wayne has extensive experience in large to mid scale project management, overseeing the completion of club redevelopments, shopping centre redevelopments, large scale commercial and multi residential developments.

 

Bill Engwirda

Director Construction Manager Bill


Bill Engwirda is the Co-founder, Director and Construction Manager of Cullen Group.

Bill has an associate diploma of applied science in construction in addition to his carpentry trade qualifications.

Under Bill’s leadership Cullen Group have successfully completed over 17 multi residential and commercial projects. Prior to co-founding Cullen Group, Bill gained extensive experience as a site manager and foreman on over 250 major residential and commercial projects across the South East Queensland region.  A meticulous builder with uncompromising standards Bill has over 36 years experience in the building industry.  

 

Dawson Howard

Senior Site Manager  

Dawson is a welcomed newcomer, having recently left his position of Construction Manager at Tricare Developments, and joined the team in February 2010.

His extensive experience in Site. Project & Construction Management has spanned in excess of 30 years and he boasts an impressive portfolio of projects within the commercial sector. Dawson is also a qualified carpenter, commercial estimator & domestic/commercial builder in QLD & VIC.      

Brian Reid

Senior Contracts Administrator

Brian launched into his role with calm confidence in November 2009. Brian has ascertained a wealthy 27yr of experience, beginning as a contracts administrator through to positions of senior management actively controlling contracts in the vicinity of $200million. Brian has prevciously worked for high profile companies such as the Howard Group and Multiplex and is a real added asset to the team.

Melanie Shead

Accounts Manager


Melanie started with Cullen Group in December 2007. She holds an Advanced Diploma in accounting and is currently studying towards her Bachelor of Business.  Melanie’s management skill and ‘can do’ attitude has contributed to the success of the company.

Melanie’s vision is to see the organisation continue to grow by completing quality, ‘stand out’ projects. Melanie says, “We have a strong successful team who pull together to get the job done right the first time".

Mark Moloney

Site Supervisor


Mark has worked for Bill Engwirda since February 2006 when he was site supervisor at Azura.  Mark has been in the building industry for 12 years, he started off as a carpenter/joiner and then went on to gain his QLD builders license. He also holds a certificate 4 in building studies.

Paul Moloney

Site Supervisor


Paul joined the company in February 2008 to supervise the building works at House with No Steps.  Paul has over 40 years of knowledge and background in the building industry and has completed various projects including a shopping centre and a Catholic Church Hall at Maclean, as well as units in Yamba.  Paul started of as a carpenter/joiner and went on to gain his builders license in NSW, he also holds a supervisors license in NSW.

Grant Hutson

Site Supervisor

Grant has joined the team towards the end of 2009. Grant has a wealth of industry experience expanding over 34yrs. To his credit, he has a diverse portifolio of successful projects ranging from major childcare centres and state libraries, to mutli-storey unit complexes and award winning homes. Grant is from the school of hard knocks and has a thirst for knowledge. Grant holds both a NSW and QLD building license and is known for his dedication and due diligence on any project.

Jason Dawson

Site Supervisor

Jason has previously worked under the Wayne Cullen Project Management arm on various projects from 2004-2006 and has been sought out again in 2009 as a site supervisor for the Cullen Group. Jason has gained extensive experience in the building industry for over 22yrs. Jason has been involved in both commercial and residential construction including exclusive architectually designed homes and major hotel refurbishments. Jason is known for his tenacity to get the job done.

Jamie Ross

Site Supervisor

Jamie joins the ranks in 2010. With 14yrs of building experience under his belt, he holds a QLD building  license and Certificate 3 Diploma in Building Carpentry. Jamie's expertise expands projects such as shopping centres, airport hangers, civil development and housing divisions. Jamie enjoys his work and applies attention to detail and accuracy to all his jobs.

James Gill

Jnr Contracts Administrator


James started with the Cullen Group in May 2008 and has quickly made his mark on the company. In Novemeber 2009, James completed his Bachelor of Property, Economics and Financing of Construction Management. His academic and career focus is to implement strategies to enable quality projects to be completed in a cost effective manner.

James is eager to learn and has come a long way in a short amount of time. He is enthusiastic, clever and has become a valuable team member of Cullen Group.

Josh Chaston

Jnr Estimator

Josh graduated from the Gold Coast College of Business in 2003. After exploring the hospitality industries in Australia and overseas, Josh is now pursueing his interest in property development and seeks a more sustainable future.

Currently, Josh is completing his education foundations in Quantity Surveying and Construction Managment at Bond University and is integrating his acquired learnings into practical application. Josh had joined the team in recent months and plays an important supportive role.
