Brisbane Broncos Elite Player Development Program (EPD)

Increasing evidence from our research has led the Brisbane Broncos to refine our past talent identification procedures, competitive structures and training practices. The club has developed a logical and progressive approach to the long term development of our Junior players. This particular model is based on programs used in other sports worldwide with overwhelming results.

Our program focuses on the key common principles of individual development and allows us an opportunity to consider “Best Practice” in the long term planning of our future players and will allow the Club’s elite juniors to reach their optimum potential.

We have six (6) full time staff members responsible for the development and welfare of our junior playing group. Our recruitment staff are responsible for procuring the best available talent.

A full time Skills Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach are available to coordinate their physical and technical development as a Rugby League player. We also have a full time Player Services Manager available to assist with decisions the players might have to make in regards to welfare and education. The total process is the sole responsibility of our Elite Player Development Manager.

The Brisbane Broncos Football Club has gone to great lengths to implement this program and we believe that participation in the program is the best possible opportunity for a player to reach his full potential.
